SODIUM META BI - SULPHITE

Sodium Meta Bi-Sulphite is used in strong doses with water as an equipment sanitizer. You can use it to sanitize fermenting vessels, hydrometers, wine bottles, hoses or any other glass, metal, plastic or wood that comes into contact with your wine. 



STERI-SAN

Equipment cleaner and sanitizer. Removes stubborn grime and helps remove bottle labels (in most cases they just fall off).

POTASSIUM META BI - SULPHITE

Potassium Meta Bi  - Sulphite is often called a stabilizer because it serves to prevent spoilage and further fermentation by removing oxygen. However, this serves another purpose it preserves the flavor and color of a wine.

POTASSIUM SORBATE

Potassium Sorbate is a yeast inhibitor used to prevent further fermentation in wines with residual sugar. It doesn't kill yeast, but prevents them from dividing to produce new yeast cells.

SULPHUR STICKS

Cleaning with sulphur strips helps clean and protect your empty oak barrels from mold and bacteria.

YEAST NUTRIENT

Yeast Nutrients assist the wine yeasts in producing a complete and rapid fermentation. It is recommended for use in all fermentations. Yeast Nutrient also provides a singular source of nitrogen for the yeast to utilize during the fermentation process.

ACID BLEND

Acid Blend is a granulated blend of the three most commonly found fruit acids: citric acid, malic acid, and tartaric acid. It is added directly to a wine or must to raise its acidity level when necessary. The acidity of a wine is the tart or sharp taste.


PECTIC ENZYME

Pectic enzyme, also known as pectinase, is a protein that is used to break down pectin, a jelly like glue that holds plant cells together. In wines pectin can cause troublesome pectin haze that is not easily cleared without the use of pectic enzymes.

CAMPDEN TABLETS

GRAPE TANNIN

Tannin is a substance that exists naturally in the skins, seeds (or pips), and stems of grapes. Because red wines are fermented with their grape skins and pips, and because red grape varieties are generally higher in tannin than white varieties, tannin levels are far higher in red wines than in white wines.
